Uptown Modern!

I am thrilled to share that Jean from Uptown Modern, one of my most favorite stores in Austin, has taken on my Tiki Chick limited collection! We will be working on some other pieces, variations of the fishies as well. If you haven't been to Uptown Modern yet, pay them a visit and be prepared to drool over all the cool and unusual things they have. I can also take your custom Tikichick and Fishies orders directly and if you order soon, they will be ready for Christmas delivery! Prices vary depending on desired size. doppelganger

My good friend in Corpus sent me this pic...something random he found on the internet. He said it reminded him of me...the wierdest thing is that it looks exactly like my mama...and me! I still don't know who it is but i love the pic!

A lincoln with history

I recently had the pleasure of seeing this machine again. This is the welder that my Dad and all my Uncles learned to weld on in the early 70's! My Uncle Charlie still has it in his shop. It originally came out of the Union Hall Apprentice School where they all spent some time learning to weld and my Grandpa Cotton was the President.
What a beautiful machine. I hope to be able to use this image, or a slightly modified version in one of my graphics for Iron Root Industry Wear. A line of clothing with artfully designed graphics for the fellow welders of the world, whether they be pipliners, fitter, fabricators, blacksmiths or artists. We manifest our work in different ways but we all share a common thread: the process.
